Southern Tier Bike Project

Our bikes will most likely come from a combination of donations and garage sale purchases.

If you have a bike that you would like to donate, please e-mail "Donations" at the Southern Tier Bike Project.

If you would like to donate some money to allow us to purchase bikes on the garage sale circuit, click on the coffee cup in the logo on this page to use your credit card via PayPal.

If you can make yourself available to pick up donated bikes, please e-mail the project.

The primary need for cash donations is for the repair or refurbishment of the bikes. Money will be required to purchase parts (tires, tubes, chains, cables, etc) and consumables (lube, cleaner, degreaser, etc) as well as any special tools that are necessary to support the operation. Depending on the volume of workload, we may also need volunteers to help with the repair or refurbishment.

In this area we primarily need volunteers to:

• Spread the word that bikes are available (assuming we are successful)
• Store bikes in the inventory (again, assuming we are successful)
• Deliver bikes

Of course, cash donations to help defray the cost of fuel to pick up and deliver bikes would also be appreciated.
